  17. 文章摘要如下:日本防卫省表示，日本将向处于最西端的与那国岛派驻一支陆军部队，以加强对被喻为日本西南边防“重镇”及其钓鱼岛等西南岛屿的保卫。这项派兵屯守计划，作为“国家西南防御部署的重要一环”，将被列入未来五年的“新防卫计划大纲”。据日本军方消息人士透露，首批派驻部队隶属于驻守在冲绳那霸的陆上自卫队第一混合旅团，规模不是很大，官兵人数大概有50人左右。作为一支离岛特殊连队主要分为雷达侦察和音声监听两个班，其主要职责是加强对尖阁诸岛及其附近海域的监视与情报收集。而选择驻军与那国岛，除了它与钓鱼岛近，只有约170公里外，还有岛内具有跑道长2000米的机场，遇到“钓鱼岛有事”等紧急情况，可以迅速空运支持军力和随时起降被称为“潜艇杀手”的新锐P3C反潜攻击机。另外，与那国岛正在扩建的港口将来也能停靠军舰等，而邻近的先岛群岛业已完成补给基地建设。因此，与那国岛事实上将成为日本进一步控制钓鱼岛，应对西南岛屿有事的第一前哨阵地，也意味着日本在军事战略南移中，进一步强化从九州岛岛南线至琉球群岛西南线的第一岛链的驻军布防。
